The shaving soap is their L'Original, a hard, air dried soap that's superbly scented with Rosemary, Lavender and Mint. Le Cannele the French word for fluted and this glass container has fluted shape, which makes it much easier to grip when using.
L'Original shaving soap has a refreshing, clean scent, it's the perfect morning wake up call. Made in only small batches in rural France since 1974, Martin de Candre shaving soaps are known worldwide for the exceptionally rich and protective lathers they deliver and their unique, pleasing scents.
The scent and the lather are stronger and richer than other brands and the lather seems to stay in the brush a lot better than other soaps, you will also notice that the soap retains heat leading to a better shave.
The shaving soap comes in a round glass container, you lather up from here, no need for a lathering up bowl.
It's not always the case that the more you spend the better the quality is but it is certainly the case with Martin de Candre L'Original Shaving Soap. This soap is up there with Fitjar, Santa Maria Novella and Saponificio Varesino. Highly recommended.
