The vegetable-oil base formulation is enriched with essential oils and glycerin to moisturise the skin, leaving it feeling soft after shaving.
Lochranza is a warm fragrance with a woody base of patchouli and vetiver, enhanced by the freshness of lemon and grapefruit. Earthy and enigmatic.
The soap puck comes in a bowl which is designed to look like a pebble from Whiting Bay on the Isle of Arran.

The Lochranza fragrance is inspired by the beautiful windswept north of the Isle of Arran. Surrounded by brooding hills facing the imposing grey ruin of its castle, placed dramatically on a shingle spit in the open sea loch.
Prepare your brush by soaking it in warm water or run it under the tap until it absorbs enough water to kickstart the lathering of the soap*. Swirl the brush on top of the soap puck until you feel a slight resistance coming from the soap. This means you have enough soap on the brush to lather. Paint the loaded brush in circular motions on the skin. Use as much or as little pressure as you feel comfortable with.
*Judging the right amount of water is a bit of trial and error and varies from product to product. Generally, hard soaps need more water than a soft shaving cream. Too much water leads to a thin, watery lather whereas too little water will produce a thick and sleek but not abundant lather.
