Women’s Body Shaving

Welcome to our Women’s body shaving range. Here you’ll find a selection of products that have been carefully chosen with the female body in mind. We have selected shaving creams, razors, brushes, and aftershave treatments that will give you the smoothest, softest skin possible. Whilst protecting you from ingrowing hairs, razor rash, razor bumps and itchy skin.

With the vast range of female shaving products available today, why choose to wet shave with a safety razor? There are several good reasons why: you will find it’s better for your skin, better for the environment and it will help you to save money.

Don’t take our word for it, take the advice of Mother of three and personal trainer Christine Peek. Christine made the switch to using a safety razor and hasn’t looked back. You can read our full interview with Christine in our Wet Shaving for Women: An Interview with Christine blog post.

You can also discover some more helpful hints and tips, including some guest how to video guides, on wet shaving in our Shaving Tips For Women advice page and our Wet Shaving for Women: The Ultimate Step-by-Step Guide blog post.

Shave legs, underarms and bikini line closely, smoothly and comfortably

If you’re looking to get super smooth and soft legs and underarms, prepare the skin with a good quality pre shave and a lubricating shaving cream, then use a sharp razor blade, shaving in the direction the hairs grow. Finish off with an aftershave balm or good quality moisturiser to rehydrate the skin. If your skin feels irritated after shaving you can use a treatment to cool and soothe the skin and prevent ingrown hairs and razor bumps, we recommend using Aloe Clear for this.

Bikini Line Shaving

Whether you want to go full Brazilian or just keep it trimmed for the beach, there are several ways to achieve your desired look. You can shave with an easy to use battery operated Cleancut Intimate Area Shaver or shave manually with a razor. We have some tips on how to use both.

Shaving Using a Cleancut or other Battery Operated Shaver

Thoroughly dry the area to be shaved.
A light dusting of talcum powder will help the shaver move freely over the area to be shaved – apply sparingly.
Shave against the grain and not into the hair’s natural direction of growth. Work on one small patch of skin at a time. Gently go over the area until it is nice and smooth before moving onto a fresh area.
Finish off with a good quality moisturiser, such as Shaveworks Cool Fix Women's After Shave Balm, or our own Intensive Moisturiser Balm to hydrate and restore a natural moisture balance to the skin.

Manual Shaving with a Razor

This is still the most common way of removing unwanted pubic hair, it goes without saying that you should be very careful indeed while shaving your pubic area. Shaving pubic hair can be done in the shower or bath, depending on which you find most comfortable. We recommend using a safety razor with a sharp blade for the smoothest, irritation free shave.
To begin with apply a pre shave treatment, such as our own water soluble pre shave oil, then apply your shaving lather. Generously apply into the area to be shaved. Both products are packed with skin friendly lubricants which help the razor to glide over the skin and prevent any irritation.
Work the lather into the stubble for a minute or so to soften the hair and lift the hair off the skin as much as possible. It is best to use a brush for this, we recommend a synthetic fibre brush such as our own Medium Jock shaving brush.
Then carefully, shave the hair in the direction of the grain NOT against the grain. Shaving against the grain (the direction of the hair growth) will result in ingrowing hairs and razor bump and burn).
Slowly shave the area, apply only a little pressure to the razor and using short strokes, if the blade is sharp it will cut through the stubble easily. If it doesn't – change the blade.
Repeat the whole process until you get the closeness of shave you require.
Rinse the shaved area so that it is free of cut hair and lather.
Apply Shaveworks Cool Fix Women's After Shave Balm to the shaved area to cool, soothe and moisturise the shaved area. This will prevent any itchiness or ingrown hairs.

Final Word - Take Your Time, Be Patient. Like everything else, practice makes perfect!
