This MÜHLE Ancient Oak EDITION synthetic shaving brush is a testament to nature, captivated by materials from times past. The handle is made from ancient bog oak wood, that has been discovered in local bogs, swamps, and river banks after resting, untouched, for millennia. This extremely long aging process has given the wood its dark hue; through the reaction of tannins and peat acidity, all kept intact by the lack of oxygen.

This precious wood is then accentuated with sterling silver, which takes on a shimmer all of its own.

The wood is sealed with a high gloss finish that seals the wood, making it watertight, whilst allowing the unique character of each piece of Oak to shine out.

The brush bristles are Muhle's famous 'Silvertip Fibre®', their world-first synthetic fibres made to emulate the qualities of natural silvertip badger hair.

These vegan-friendly fibres offer a soft, pleasant sensation against skin during lathering, while the middle section provides desired firmness.

It's less sensitive than natural hair, dries quickly and is highly resistant, lasting longer and producing more lather from a smaller amount of cream/soap.
