Some say the Gillette Fatboy is the best safety razor ever made, I can appreciate why they say this, the Fatboy was so well made, it looks good, it benefits from perfect dimensions and weight and being adjustable you can choose the level of aggressiveness which best suits your needs.
Fatboy's are getting increasingly difficult to source especially ones in good working order.
This particular razor has been fully restored, it was stripped down, sonically cleaned then replated. The finish on this razor is very shiny and bright. The black indicator numbers and red indicator button have been repainted using enamel paint. However, please note that there is some damage to the knurling on both sides of the handles (see photos). This is reflected in the price of this razor.
Stamped 'MADE IN USA E4 Reg US PAT OFF'. E4 is date coding, E tells us the razor was made in 1959 and 4 means the razor was made in the fourth quarter of that year.
