Why Wet Shaving?

Wet Shaving gives you more effective shaves and better looking skin than shaving with a dry / electric razor. The hot water opens the pores of your skin and relaxes your facial muscles, and it softens your whiskers for more effective cutting. Additionally, a wet shave gives a far closer shave than a shave from an electric razor.

Wet Shaving Techniques

There are several Wet Shaving techniques all of which use either a Cut-throat Razor (also known as an Open Razor or Straight Razor), Safety Razor (also known as Double Edge Razor) or a multi blade cartridge Razor (including the Gillette Mach3, Mach3 Turbo or Fusion)

Despite the varying techniques the basic principles of Wet Shaving are the same, namely pre shave, shave, post shave.
