I have been asked ( very kindly ) by Brian to have a try of the new Executive Shaving Company Pre Shave Oil ( Lime Patchouli Scent ) 100ml bottle. This is a slight break away from my tried and tested items for myself. First off we all like to think we have sensitive skin , and for me this is true, the only soap my face gets is shaving soap, and any aftershave creams are alcohol free. And hot water tends to be a no no. Now I have rated this item 4 , reason being the strong scent which took me by surprize and the fact I was not sure how I would get on with it. I noted the ingredients and can find nothing alarming :-) . And to be truthful the wife likes it and says it leaves my face very smooth, the strong scent settles down very fast .Having followed the instructions I used my normal Taylor of old Bond street shaving cream, resulting in a very close first class shave. We all have differing skin types , but if I can use it and can notice an improvement then for the man who likes or prefers the oil pre shaves I think you will be most pleased with the results
My skin is rather sensitive, so I always use pre-shave oil. After seeing Brian use these in one of his videos, I decided to try them when my old stock ran out. As my Taylor Natural had also ran out (very good for sensitive skin) and was not in stock anywhere I searched, I used these with Taylor's Eton College cream which has a citrus base scent. Initially the oil's scent was rather strong, so I was weary of interference with the cream's scent. Thankfully it faded away quickly and had no problems with that at all. One spray of the oil does the job nicely and lubricates very well, so the 100ml bottle will go a long way. I managed to get a pretty close shave with it and the skin felt well-protected throughout shaving. I used the moisturising balm as an aftershave. It felt quite soothing and left my skin moist for hours after and I rate it more highly than the known white balm aftershave you can find anywhere (which i've been using for 10 years). Overall I believe the combo pack is excellent value if you end up using both. Would I buy them separately? I don't know this yet as I feel the oil is a bit pricey on its own. Time will tell, but for the moment I feel the pack was a good purchase as both products left me conpletely satisfied.
Bought both of these and am happy with them both. Brian has a video with these items and if used as directed, they work a treat. The moisturiser is perfect! Apply after a shave to cool the skin and it does exactly what it says! Smells nice, cools the skin and all in all excellent! I highly recommend both of these items.
