I acquired this razor 6 months ago and have used it about 30 times now... At first I tried the pro-guard blades, but they were not right for me, just felt uncomfortable and scratchy. I switched to the Super-Pro which has more blade exposure to the face... fabulous shave.. takes a while to get the feel of it bit worth it for the pleasure of shaving - use a good oil and cushioning cream, and don't rush

I switched to this from DE shaving. I started with the Pro blades and after a couple of nasty incidents switched to the pro guard blades which work like a dream. I think if you're coming at this from a straight razor background you'll be fine with any blades but the main issue I had was 'landing errors' - I.e not careful enough with the rate at which the blade is applied to the face at the start of a stroke. I assume this is something you can pick up in time but if you're not used to shaving with a straight then definitely start with the pro guard blades, or invest heavily in plasters and antiseptic.
