A Unique Silvertip Badger Hair Shaving Brush

What we've commissioned may be just what you're looking for. The Executive Shaving Olivewood Badger Hair Shaving Brush is classically shaped and perfectly sized.

The brush has an Olivewood handle that has been treated with ten coats, yes ten coats, of Shellac to make it waterproof. We insisted that the loft of the hair (the length of the hair) is 45 mm to give the brush additional back-bone. Most brushes have a 50 mm loft.

Hand made in Holland by a Scottish craftsman on behalf of The Executive Shaving company, each brush handle is unique due to the grain of the wood and being individually lathe turned and polished to a high sheen finish. Each brush is unique as Gordon, the wood turner, didn't use a micrometre when turning the handles, he uses his experience and keen eye only so expect slight differences in the dimensions of the handle from what we list below. Olivewood has a distinctive grain.

The brush hair is Silvertip, the highest grade of badger hair. Badger hair shaving brushes allow your shaving cream / soap to better penetrate the beard stubble by getting underneath the beard and softening the whiskers. A Silvertip brush fells very soft on the face. Using a shaving brush lifts the whiskers off the face and softens them which leads to a close and comfortable shave.
