Beard and Moustache Trimmers

Stephen 8 June 2012 merkur beard and moustache razor

Q: Hi Brian, Do you know of any good rechargeable trimmers. I have a moustache but currently use a BIC disposable to keep it trim but I'm never happy with the final result. And it is not the quickest of solutions. I am going to buy a trimmer and wondered if you knew of a good one?

A: Stephen my advice is to go for the Merkur Beard and Moustache Razor Trimmer and a pair of Scissors and Moustache Comb; no need for batteries.

The Merkur Beard and Moustache Trimmer is a high quality, German made bit of kit. The Trimmer is designed to give a sharp line for beards and moustaches. It's also excellent for tram lines and even eyebrow shaping. Very small and highly manoeuvrable, this little razor ticks all the boxes. Replacement Blades are cheap at only £6.00 for 10.

To keep the thickness of the moustache down to a neat and manageable level, use a Dr Dittmar Beard and Moustache Comb to firstly straighten the hair. Then hold the comb flat against the hair so that with Trimming Scissors you can reduce the thickness of the moustache safely and accurately.

Ongoing, use Dr Dittmar Moustache Wax daily and every second or third day use the Merkur Beard and Moustache Razor to keep the lines sharp.
