Thiers Issard Straight Razor with Bocote Wood Scales
Hand made in France using world famous Sheffield Steel this stunning open razor combines perfect form with perfect function, looked after and maintained properly this razor will provide you with many years of service.
Finished to the very highest of standards utilising the finest raw materials available.
The razor has a real gold plated wash with 'Bijou De France' printed in the wash.
The tang has Thiers-Issard Made In France stamped on it.
The spine of the razor has a wonderful laser etched design which is unique to Thiers-Issard.
The scales are hand made from bocote wood which is a hard, dense, tropical wood which is highly valued for its dramatic striped grain. Bocote wood is very resistant to water, also known as Mexican Rosewood', bocote is indigenous to Central America. A Truly beautiful and unusual wood.
Included with this razor is a brown hand made leather pouch with Thiers-Issard branding. The razor and the pouch are kept safe by a Thiers-Issard branded cardboard box.
-The blade depth is 5/8" and made of carbon steel.
-Comes with a quality leather case.
(Stainless steel blades keep a sharper edge longer than a carbon steel blade - however carbon steel is easier to work with)
