This small Canadian silicon carbide travelling honing stone is ideal for travel, being made from silicon carbide this sharpening stone is very fast cutting even when used dry it will produce an extremely sharp cutting edge.

Honing stones are used for honing (sharpening) the edge of the blade when it dulls and therefore an essential part of your cut throat razor maintenance kit.

*Note that after honing and fine refinement of the edge of the blade, stropping with a hanging leather and canvas strop is still required prior to the shave.
