Shapton Japanese Whet Stones remove an exceptionally high level of material when used which saves time when sharpening razors and fine tools.
The extremely fine 12,000 grit provides a true mirror polish to razors, tools and knives.
The grit particles used on this stone are extremely small measuring .92 micron average. This stone can only be used after you've created a very sharp edge with other fine grits.
Submerge the stone in water before use but never submerge the stone too long in water, this can damage it.
Comes complete with a plastic box with rubber feet so you can hone with the stone in the box and off the work surface.
